Our Smith Houses project was part of the Recovery and Resilience Program of New York City Housing Authority after Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012. The Scope of Work included flood proofing to protect the buildings in flood-prone areas, installation of standby gas-fired generators to provide buildings with full power in the event of an outage, new electrical rooms, restoration of MEP systems damaged by Sandy, site lighting upgrade to meet NYCHA standards, site restoration and restoration of surface areas and play structures.
